Die unterschiedlichen Betriebskonzepte werden dargestellt und bewertet. Insgesamt sind sieben Betriebskonzepte untersucht worden: über die mögliche Implementierung von Förderinstrumenten, der Maximierung der Gasproduktion, die Behebung von Netzengpässen bis hin zu einem Einsatz im Regelenergiemarkt.

Ferner sind ein neues Betriebskonzept im Ausgleichsenergiemarkt skizziert und zwei Modelle in direkter Kombination mit erneuerbaren Energien zur Nutzung von Windenergiespitzen sowie eines Windenergiebandes dargestellt worden.
